West Broad Street Planters

The West Broad Street Planters was one of the original Friends of the Hilltop projects. Originally there were nine concrete planters along West Broad Street. The planters were placed by the Greater Hilltop Community Development Center (GHCDC), which graciously accepted Friends of the Hilltop offer to plant and maintain its planters.

Today, Friends of the Hilltop has 16 planters along West Broad Street. This includes ten new planters placed by Friends of the Hilltop and the six surviving planters placed by the GHCDC.

Friends of the Hilltop works with the neighboring businesses to foster the planters. With the summer heat, the planters need lots of water to keep even th sun-loving and drought-tolerant petunias flowering beautifully.
